It’s an ideal opportunity for everybody, including businesses, to celebrate love and appreciation too! Valentine’s Day is like a built-into-the-calendar excuse to show your customers how much you care for them.

When was the last time you received a handwritten note in the mail? Can’t remember? Yeah me neither… But how sweet would that be! Handwritten letters are practically extinct nowadays, but that’s not because they aren’t effective! It’s because people are, well, lazy.
Go the extra mile for your customers on this special day by sending them a letter in the mail that’s personal and genuine. Your customers will appreciate how rare this sign of appreciation is and it will most definitely make your business stand out to them.

We’ve all got a sweet tooth this time of year (well for me it’s all year round), but c’mon, the Valentine’s Day version of your favorite candy is more than tempting. The heart-shaped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, the pink, red and white M&M’s, and you can’t forget about Sweethearts with the adorable messages on them! Man I really shouldn’t have written this right before lunch time… anyways….
Whether it be chocolate, cookies, or cupcakes (wow ok I’m really hungry), sending a delicious treat to your customer is sure to put a smile on their face and show them that you care.
Try to make it personal! It doesn’t have to be a dessert item. Instead, you can send them a small and unique gift from your brand/business. Sending them items like a laptop sticker, car magnet, or a mug with your logo on it, is a fun and inexpensive way to show your customer appreciation with a useful gift that is sure to last past lunch time. Plus, it’ll help advertise your business. It’s a win-win!
3) Be A Problem Solver
I don’t know about you, but one of my favorite things is when people show that they care through acts of service. Going out of their way to do something kind for me that will make my day easier and help me de-stress is an amazing gift. As a business, you can’t clean the house or make dinner for your customers like you can for your significant other (that would be a little creepy). But, you can send them something to help eliminate their troubles!
Sending discounts, free subscriptions or consultations, etc. are great ways to show your customer that you’ve got their back and you’re there to help. What else do customers love? When a business is accessible and ready to help them whenever they need!
Give the gift of accessibility by staying open longer for the week of Valentine’s Day. Or maybe add a chat window to your website to answer your customer’s questions whenever they need. After all, one of the biggest problems with traditional websites is that they don’t act as a 24/7 salesperson. Take advantage of this holiday to provide some extra customer support.
4) Give A Social Media Shoutout
Think of a customer that has gotten great results from your business’ product or service. Then, give that customer a shout out on social media, tagging them and saying how much you appreciate them doing business with you. If you have permission, you can use a picture of them, but even if you don’t, use a photo of the product or a gif or meme to make the post personal! They’ll love the small moment of fame as a featured on your page. Plus, it’ll remind them how happy your product/service made them, which will motivate them to do business with you again in the future.
